 | | Hello
Doro, I totally agree with you, dear. It is a matter of fact that public transport
is not family-friendly at all. Some things will have to be put straight if they
want to keep their customers. - Regards, L. Applepie
-
Public transport is not family friendly - If HVV wants to keep customers, service
has to be improved
| | | | Current
state of the debate about the family ticket: 4
people approve of the proposal, 3 people are against it, 1 agrees with the complaint
about dogs in public transport, 1 does not agree with this complaint. Arguments
for the family card are: 1. The HVV has to become more attractive (to reduce
pollution, to reduce traffic problems, to keep customers, to increase quality
of life). 2. There has to be done more for families, e.g. as users of public
transport. 3. Money could come from the eco tax.Arguments
against the card are: 1. It has to be paid by tax payers (money should
be spent for other projects). 2. Well-educated children don't need their parent's
company. Arguments
for dogs in the public: 1. Dogs are peaceful animals. | | |
 | | We
are in desperate need of courageous women like you, Dorothy! Your problem is well
known to me, being a mother of four as well. Since my kids never go on their trips
alone I would also welcome a family-card. You can be sure of my assistance in
your fight for our (family-)rights!! - All the best, Regina
-
(approval of family card)

 | | Hello
everybody, you are so right complaining about dogs in the busses! Their holders
should be charged double for the room they reclaim and the dirt they make. My
grandma is always terribly frightend when using the subway. Those flea-inhabited
monsters are not to be kept in cities! - Yours, Peter
-
(approval of dog-complaint)
| | | | | |
 | | I
don't see the point in bringing dogs into discussion, they haven't got the least
to do with that family-card! The whole issue seems to be just ridiculous scared-women-gossip.
Haven't you got something else to do than complaining about the public service?
We as tax payers have to work hard for such dumb ideas. Think about it!
-
(general disapproval) - tax payers have to pay for it
| | | | | | |
 | | I
want to dissociate myself from the style in which "arguments" are exchanged
in this debate! To come back to the original contribution: in my opinion, we should
keep in mind that the government is responsible for the whole HVV. My party fights
a long time for a more attractive service. It would enrich the quality of life
in our beautiful city by decreasing pollution and traffic jams. And much has to
be done to improve the situation of families in our country - why not start with
this proposal? - Best wishes, M. Schrade, Regenbogen
-
attractive service increases quality of life - reduces pollution - reduces
traffic problems - families need more support
| | | | | | |
 | | Why
do you have to compare the situation of children in the public transport with
that of dogs? We dog-owners have already a lot of problems to justify the sole
existence of our animal friends (thanks to some weird contemporaries and their
pitbulls ...). Dogs behave well in the subway and the busses, and there are no
complaints by bus drivers and other HVV employees. - H. Dose, Dog owners association
Hamburg e.V.
- (disapproval of dog-complaint) -
dogs are peaceful animals

 | | Dear
Dorothy, despite my understanding for your demand for more support for families,
the public transport system is the wrong arena to fight this battle. As one of
the contributors in this forum already mentioned, the busses and subways are already
highly subsidized by the state. This money could be spent better than for black
riders. For example, there should be more kindergardens and schools in the immediate
neighborhood, and the streets should be made safer so that children can go to
school on their own. - Yours, Henry Lang, Bürgerschaftsfraktion of the
CDU
- Public transport should get less money
to support other services
| | | | | | |
 | | As
father of three little boys and fully responsible for their education I have to
say that I don't understand what use one could make of a "family card"?
My young folks just go to school, by they don't need my company any more. Kids
are made so soft in these times, we should rather change our educational philosophy
than cry for help from the govenment! - Thomas Gercke
-
children don't need adult company if they are better educated

 |
 | | I
strongly support this attempt to improve the service of the HVV. A better offer
of tickets would bring more money for the HVV and even reduce the motives to ride
without a ticket! Why not using the earnings of the "eco-tax" for the
public transport system? - S. Zabrowski, Initiative of public transport users
-
(general approval) - better ticket offer brings more money to HVV, and brings
less black riders - financing could be done by eco tax
